David is the Founder, CEO and Managing Partner at GMPTALENT International, focusing on senior level search for clients. David also has overall leadership responsibility to develop the GMPTALENT International Executive Search business in the Greater China and Asia region.

Professional Experience
With 20 years solid international experience in providing world class professional services, including executive search, global talent acquisition solutions, financial analysis and modelling, and business operations and acquisitions, David has been consistently the trusted partner and advisor for many multinational companies in China, APAC, North America, Europe, and other global regions.

Prior to GMPTALENT International, David was the Country Head of Futurestep Search business at Korn/Ferry International in China, where he worked seamlessly with clients in the industrial, consumer, life sciences, technology, and banking sectors in the Greater China region: helping clients to build competitive advantage through talent acquisition, assessment and retention.

Before Korn/Ferry International, David spent near 7 years with a Global Fortune 500 recruitment company, with various leadership roles for the operations and finance areas. David made historical leap in opening first International Recruitment Branch in Chengdu, Xi’an, Chongqing and Wuhan. He also actively participated the largest merger and acquisition project in India recruitment history in 2006 with success.

David has worked in Asia since 2004, first as Regional Finance Controller for Asia, based in Singapore; where he oversaw the finance functions in nine countries and territories. Prior to his transfer to Asia, David spent 16 years in Canada and the U.S. working for several large public listed MNCs.

Born and raised in Shanghai, David went to Canada to pursue his studies. He speaks fluent English, Mandarin, and the Cantonese and Shanghai dialects.

Education/Affiliations
David holds a Bachelor of Accounting Science degree from the University of Calgary in Canada. He has been a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) since 2000, a member of Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) of Canada since 1999.
